Xwatch Safety Solutions has welcomed Tom Goodfield as its latest field engineer, continuing a period of strong growth for the business that has seen seven new team members join in just the past couple of months.
Based in Dorset, Tom brings a solid background in plant and agricultural machinery, with hands-on experience in servicing, diagnostics, electrical systems, and field-based repair. Most recently, a Service Engineer working on a leading tractor brand, Tom has spent the past few years working independently across the South West, carrying out fault-finding, calibration and repairs on a wide range of equipment.
Alongside this, he has built and run his own mobile repair business, giving him a strong understanding of customer service, time-critical call-outs and working safely in live environments.
Tom’s career began on-site, working in concrete remediation and diamond drilling on major construction projects, before moving into agricultural and plant engineering. He holds a telehandler ticket and a range of safety qualifications, and is fully mobile, ready to support Xwatch customers across the UK.
His arrival reflects the pace at which Xwatch continues to grow, driven by increasing demand for its safety systems across hire, construction and infrastructure.
Jemma Dycer - Hopkins (IOSH), Sales and Operations Manager at Xwatch Safety Solutions, said:
“Bringing Tom into the team is another important step for us. He has the right mix of mechanical ability, electrical knowledge and site experience, but just as importantly, he understands what it means to turn up, crack on and look after customers properly. Adding seven new people in just a couple of months shows how quickly Xwatch is moving. The demand is there, and we’re building a team that can keep delivering the standard our customers expect.”
Tom added, "“I’ve spent most of my career out in the field, working on machines on site, so Xwatch felt like a natural fit. The focus on safety, the quality of the systems and the way the team operates really stood out. It’s a growing business with a clear direction, and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and supporting customers.”
Tom will now begin training on Xwatch’s full range of safety systems, supporting installations and service work as the company continues to expand its footprint across the UK.
