At Xwatch Safety Solutions, we're pleased to announce the successful upgrade of brand-new safety systems on McGee's latest fleet additions of Kobelco machinery. This is another testament to our ongoing commitment to improving worksite safety with our cutting-edge safety technology.
Thanks to the collaborative effort with Molson, the UK's premier independent dealer for Kobelco, we've supplied three XW5s and one XW4 system. These systems represent the best safety technology to safeguard operations and ensure the highest safety standards.
A big shoutout to Gareth James of GJ Plant & Auto Electrics, an expert Xwatch installer, who managed the installation and calibration of these units and provided us with the photographs. Gareth's proficiency and dedication ensure that McGee's machinery is equipped with advanced safety features and perfectly tuned to operate within the stringent safety parameters.

Futureproof your machine with the Xwatch XW5
The XW5 offers a total safe working envelope around the machine and operator enabling the control of the machine's height, slew and rated capacity indication. This comprehensive system covers every eventually when considering both operator and machine safety, offering complete peace of mind.
The XW5 can be configured to work on any type of hydraulic excavator. Overload, height, and slew limitation are controlled using proportional soft-stop hydraulic valves providing accurate and repeatable performance without detriment to the machine. A basic dig depth monitor is available when the RCI is not required. If hazards arise, XW5 will automatically flip to the relevant display page. Tracked machines have automatic sectored lifting duties for over the front/rear operation and over the side. Load charts are ISO10567 compliant.
The Xwatch XW4 when a RCI is not required
The XW4 System, designed for Height & Slew Limitation, monitors a machine's height, and slew movement. It utilises feather touch proportional hydraulic control to accurately restrict a machine's height and left/right slew parameters, ensuring the safety of the operator and the surrounding environment. The system monitors all potential machine high points and controls appropriate motions. With full power always available to move away from a limit, the operation is fully automatic, featuring easy and fast function selection. Controlled motions include ramped slow down on approach and soft stop to prevent machine 'bounce', overshoot, or undershoot.
