In 2022, Hitachi Construction Machinery UK (HCMUK) launched its CTFleet Link®, a mixed-fleet telematics system. This was designed together with Xwatch.
Thanks to the teamwork with Xwatch, HCMUK’s CTFleet Link® can now collect data from any machine equipped with Xwatch Safety Solutions, as long as it's connected to HCMUK’s CTFleet Link® telematics device.
Stephen Creaser, HCMUK's Director of Product Support, discussed the new platform. He said that CTFleet Link® stands out in the industry because of its detailed reporting and ability to track operational data like idle time and fuel use. He mentioned that future updates will monitor safety data, such as seatbelt and proximity alerts, safety cameras, and 3D machine control systems data.
Leaney, also spoke about the project. He shared how proud Xwatch was to help create the mixed fleet platform. It enables Hitachi to offer a unique system that collects machine data and data from Xwatch's safety solution.
